The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a book written by Mark Twain. It talks about a boy (Tom) who likes to go on all sorts of adventures with his friend Huckleberry Finn. When they are out one night in the graveyard, they see a man called Injun Joe murder another man and then blame the drunk Muff Potter. After some time, Tom and Huck froget about it, but then, Potter's trial comes up and Tom tells the truth about what happened that night. Injun Joe escapes and leaves no traces. When they both go to a haunted house looking for a treasure, they find Injun Joe stealing it. When Tom and Huck try to steal the treasure, they find the biggest adventure of them all.
I liked the story because I always wanted to know what was going to happen next. I liked the writing because it really captured the dialect of the characters and it made me feel like I could hear the voices of the characters. If I were to recommend the bok to someone, I would recommend it to an adult to remind him/her of the times the person had as a kid.

THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a book written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It talks about many mysteries and cases that Holmes and his companion Watson solve together. From catching a wanted criminal to recovering letters stolen from a king, the book is filled with mysteries that only they can solve. The stories are narrated by Watson and the readers find out along with him how the mysteries are solved.

I really liked the book because the whole time I was reading, I wanted to know what was going to happen and how the cases were going to be solved. I would recommend this book to passionate readers because of the complexity and content of this wonderful story full of pure mystery.

DIVERGENT

Written by Veronica Roth, Divergent tells the story of a sixteen-year old girl named Tris that lives in a dystopian version of Chicago, which is divided into five factions depending on different personalities. Selfless people are from Abnegation, Peaceful people are from Amity, Truthful people are from Candor, intelligent people are from Erudite and brave people are from Dauntless. At the age of sixteen, every teenager has to go through an aptitude test, which tells them which faction they are better in, in order for them to choose which faction they want to be in. Tris, who's from abnegation learns her hesults are inconclusive and she can't fit in only one faction. She's divergent, and that is something dangerous that could get her killed, so she can't tell them to anyone. Finally, she chooses to transfer to Dauntless and has to go through an initiation process. Along her way, she meets Christina and Will, who become her friends and Peter, who becomes her enemy. In her journey, she meets love, fear and trust.

I think this book is amazing, and it's incredible how a person can have so much imagination, as to create a dystopian world and invent the factions. I also love the characters of Tris, Christina, Will, Uriah and Four; they are very likable and you fall in love with them the minute you read about them. I also love the fact that Veronica Roth created a female heroine, because it shows another side of women, a character who's not obsessed with beauty and instead fights and saves her city. I would recommend this book to teenage girls because the book talks about love and the choices you have to make in life.
Clockwork Angel is a wonderful book written by Cassandra Clare. It's about a teenage girl named Tessa, who lives in New York, but goes to London to live with her brother. When she arrives, she is kidnapped by two evil women who call themselves "The Dark Sisters" and let Tessa know that she has the power to transform herself into other people. The Evil Sisters make her train her power and tell her all the work they are doing is so that she can marry a very powerful and evil man called "The Magister," who wants to destroy shadowhunters. Luckily, she is rescued by Will, a shadowhunter who takes her to a safe place called The Institute.     Shadowhunters are a mix between angels and humans; their job is to protect humans from evil demons, so they let Tessa stay at the Institute and tell her all about the world she has just discovered. Throughout the story, Tessa goes on a journey of self-discovery and works with the shadowhunters to figure out where her brother is and what her power has to do with The Magister's plans.

I loved reading this book because it talks about a hidden world with all sorts of creatures like shadowhunters, demons and warlocks. I also like the fact that the book is full of action and romance, so when I was reading it, I couldn't stop. I found all of the characters very interesting and I also liked that the book is set on older times because it affects how they behave and react to certain situations. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read books like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Divergent because in them, the characters go on all sorts of adventures and the main character is stong, brave and has to go through many difficult tasks in order to help his or her community.

THE HOST

The Host is a novel written by Stephenie Meyer. It talks about Melanie, a girl who lives in the future. The world in this time period is at a horrible state because souls from other planets have invaded Earth. They take human bodies and inhabit them, forcing the remaining conscious humans to hide. Melanie is captured by these souls and Wanderer, a soul that has lived in different planets is placed inside her. The problem is that differing from other bodies, Melanie remains conscious and is aware of everything that happens, so both of them struggle to have control of the body. Melanie, desperate to know what happened after she was captured asks Wanderer to help her look for her brother Jamie and her boyfriend Jared. She accepts and with their work, they are able to find a group that Melanie's grandfather created, who Jamie and Jared make a part of. The community seing that a soul is among them capture her, but spare her life because the body is Melanie's. Wanderer and Melanie work together in order to be accepted by the community and more importantly, show Jared and Jamie that Melanie is still with them. Throughout the book, Melanie and Wanderer develop a friendship beyond what they ever imagined.

I really liked this book because it talks about two individuals who are very different from each other and despite their differences work together and eventually become friends. I also liked the fact that it talks about acceptance. When Wanderer got to the community, none of the humans liked her, but because of her kindness and bravery, got some people to accept and trust them. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading futuristic novels such as The Hunger Games or Divergent because it's filled with action and adventure. I would also recommend it to this type of readers because it is a beautiful novel that shows the importance of family and friendship.
